Welcome back!

In light of Covid-19, please pay attention to the following information. This ensures we minimise risk for ourselves and other users of BCMB, and that I am acting in accordance with government, governing body and clinic requirements.

Before your appointment

When booking your appointment I ‘ll send you a link to the online Covid-19- Screening & Consultation Form. Please provide me with your email address at the time of  booking in order for me to send you the form via Google Forms.

If you prefer I can send you a word document which you can fill in an email back to me.  I’m also very happy to go through the form over the phone with you. Please give me a message and we can arrange a time for this. You will only need to fill this once but please it is your responsibility to keep me informed if there are any changes before future appointments.

I will then assess the information provided and arrange a call back. Please do let me know what is the best time for you.

For regular clients, it will be a 5 minutes check in chat to see how you are and plan your appointment.

For new clients, it will be a more thorough initial consultation and your time to ask me questions you may have. This should take around 15 minutes.  I usually take payment in advance via bank transfer to confirm your booking.

On the day of the appointment

Are you feeling well? Have you got a high temperature, persistent cough, shortness of breath or any other Covid-19 Symptom? If you’re not well please give me a text or email immediately and we can reschedule when you are better.

What to bring

Essential:

  • your own mask to be worn inside the building and during your treatment (cut the elastic ear straps before throwing it away as animals may become entangled)
  • a drape to cover yourself during the treatment (in place of the brushed cotton sheets I provided before Covid-19). I recommend a single flat sheet, body sarong, large towel, single duvet cover, etc. It just needs to be large enough to cover you and soft enough for me to fold back to uncover the areas I will be working on. Your sheets, towels and blankets may get a little marked from the massage oils used.  You may choose to designate specific items as your ‘massage kit’ during this time.

Optional:

  • for added comfort you can bring a single fitted sheet to put underneath you
  • you are also welcome to bring a blanket for warmth if you think you may need it (the room might be cooler than normal due to extra ventilation)
  • if you get cold feet make sure you either bring a drape long enough to cover them, an extra small towel  or some warm socks
  • Drinking water and tissues
  • Please leave anything non-essential at home or safely in the boot of your car

 

Arriving at the Massage Space

Please arrive on time as there is currently no waiting room facility. I’ll  meet you at the entrance and will open the door  so you won’t have to touch anything.

Please scan the venue specific QR code using the NHS COVID-19 app if you have downloaded it. (If you have to provide details of contacts to test and trace (or equivalent), please categorise the massage therapist contact as ‘healthcare’ and not a ‘general’ contact.)

I will ask you to remove your shoes, wash/sanitise your hands and I will check your temperature. We can then head to the treatment room. There will be a chair/box for you to pop all your clothes and belongings. We’ll have a short chat and check in and I ‘ll leave you to get changed and onto the couch as usual.

During the treatment

I’ll ‘knock’ on the door and you’ll let me know that you are ready for me to come in. As usual I’ll check in for pressure and you are always welcome to ask for more or less pressure or express anything you are feeling. As the room is more enclosed, it has been advised that talking is kept to a minimum. I’d like to think of this in a way where you can have some time for yourself and relax in stillness . We can have our usual catch up chat when we finish the session and we can keep some distance.

After the treatment

I’ll signal to you when the treatment has ended and will step outside the room to let you get changed. We can talk through any aftercare and book in our next appointment. I’ll walk you to the exit door.

What to Expect from Me

I will be wearing appropriate PPE, using freshly sanitised equipment and leaving longer gaps between clients to allow for thorough cleaning and room ventilation. I will also postpone treatments if I have any concern about my wellness or exposure to anyone with Covid-19. I will give you as much notice as possible in this instance.

I am adding an extra layer of Covid-safety by doing lateral flow tests. Although this is not mandatory, I encourage you to do the same before attending an appointment with a close contact service. You are able to order test kits on-line (pack of 7 available) or pick them up from a local test centre (pack of 14 available) free of charge. Prices

Prices will remain the same as they were before Covid-19:

  • £50 per 60 minutes session
  • £75 for 90 minutes session

I want to make massage available for everybody, so please get in contact if you cannot afford set prices. I will try to offer a viable solution according to your means available.

Payment can be made in advance by bank transfer or on the day by card or cash. If you usually bring cash to the session please bring the correct amount. Please do let me know if you have a gift voucher at the time of booking. Gift Vouchers are valid up to six months from date of purchase.

To confirm your appointment if you are a new client I take payment by bank transfer in advance. Payment in advance can be in full or a minimum of £25 fee. This is  a non-refundable fee if you cancel with less than 48 hour notice. If you cancel with less than 24 hour notice you will incur the full appointment fee.

Rescheduling Policy

Please give me 48 hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment to get a full refund. To ensure I received a time sensitive message contact me on my number 07525 758 969. I am only able to check emails once a day.

When you book an appointment  my time is reserved exclusively for you. I do understand that sometimes plans have to change, I request a minimum of 48 hours notice to cancel or re-arrange your appointment to save me from needing to charge you.

As a small business, I really appreciate the minimum cancellation notice as it gives me the opportunity to offer your space to another client, cancel rooms, etc.

Cancellation Fees

  • If you cancel with less than 48 hour notice you will incur the minimum £25 booking fee
  • If you cancel with less than 24 hour notice you will incur the full appointment fee

This being said, I really encourage and support you to be vigilant with your health during this pandemic. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment  please let me know immediately and you will easily be able to reschedule.
